We had a fun fourth. Lots of family, food , and fireworks. I made my old quickie standby pasta salad.
Here's the recipe:
1 box of elbow pasta (or whatever you have in the pantry)
1 carton of cherry, grape, or pear tomatoes
1 small block of fresh mozzarella cut in small cubes (or today I used a about 1/2 cup of Parmesan)
chopped herbs from the garden (rosemary, basil, oregano. thyme)
salt and pepper to taste
...you can also add a can of olives, or sun-dried tomatoes, or whatever you have in the fridge or pantry....
We also harvested some dragons langerie bush beans. They are so pretty and magically change a light yellow when cooked. They are so delicious!!!!!
